Two-Tone Trex® Composite Deck with Waterproof System & RailBlazers Glass Railing

This project involved the construction of a premium second-storey Trex® composite deck featuring a custom two-tone design and a fully integrated waterproof under-deck system. As a trusted Toronto deck builder, ATBCON installed Trex® composite decking using a dark picture-frame border with a contrasting lighter interior board to create architectural depth and visual refinement. The perimeter was finished with RailBlazers black aluminum glass railing, delivering unobstructed views and a modern aesthetic. A key feature of this project is the Trex® waterproof drainage system installed beneath the deck surface. The system channels water away from the structure into a concealed front-facing gutter, allowing the under-deck space to remain dry and usable. The underside of the deck was finished with a sealed soffit ceiling system, carefully integrated to conceal both the drainage and gutter components, creating a clean and polished lower-level appearance. The staircase incorporates a dual-landing configuration, adding structural complexity and improved flow. At the stair entry point, an aluminum picket safety gate was installed to provide additional protection for children and pets. This elevated composite deck delivers structural integrity, advanced water management, and a fully finished architectural outdoor living solution.
