This custom pergola was designed as a bold architectural feature, transforming the outdoor space into a defined and structured living area. Built with precision framing and clean structural lines, the pergola provides partial shade while maintaining openness and airflow. Its design enhances both functionality and visual impact. A standout feature of this pergola is the black aluminum cladding applied to the structural posts. The aluminum wrap: Protects the wood posts from moisture and weather exposure Reduces long-term maintenance Adds a sleek, modern architectural finish Creates a strong visual contrast The result is a pergola that feels intentional, structured, and premium — not just an add-on, but a permanent outdoor architectural element.

A custom wooden boardwalk-style pathway was constructed to extend from the yard toward the gazebo, creating a seamless walking experience over the terrain and leading directly to the water. The walkway enhances accessibility while reinforcing the natural, coastal character of the setting. The combination of the elevated gazebo and the flowing wood pathway transforms the property into a private lakeside escape — blending craftsmanship, structure, and scenic tranquility.

This project involved the construction of a fully custom wood-framed gazebo designed to create a defined and sheltered outdoor living space within an interlock backyard patio. Built with solid structural framing, the gazebo features a robust timber frame engineered for durability and architectural presence. The roof was finished with asphalt shingles to provide long-term weather protection while maintaining visual harmony with the surrounding home. The structure was installed over an existing full interlock patio, transforming a portion of the open backyard into a covered seating area without disrupting the overall landscape layout. To elevate both strength and aesthetics, the four primary support posts were encased in custom stone cladding, 3 feet in height. These stone-wrapped columns add visual weight, structural character, and a refined architectural finish to the gazebo. The result is a premium backyard focal point that blends natural materials, structural integrity, and functional outdoor comfort.
