Multi-Level Wood Deck Restoration & Professional Staining
This project involved the restoration and maintenance of a multi-level wooden deck system located directly off the rear entrance of the home.
The layout consists of:
An upper deck section directly outside the back door
A staircase descending to a mid-landing
A second larger lower deck section
Over time, exposure to sun, rain, and seasonal weather had caused fading, discoloration, and surface wear. Rather than replacing the structure, the client opted for a full restoration process.
Restoration Process Included:
Initial sanding of deck boards and stair treads
Surface preparation to ensure proper stain absorption
Professional power washing (deep cleaning)
Complete drying phase
Application of high-quality tinted wood stain
Detailed finishing on railings, stairs, and both deck levels
Special attention was given to transitions between levels and stair sections to ensure consistent color and even stain penetration throughout.
The stain enhanced the natural wood grain while providing:
UV protection
Moisture resistance
Extended structural lifespan
Rich, uniform finish
